INTRODUCTION AND LOCATION:

Fuerteventura is an island in the Canary Islands, located on the Atlantic Ocean and 97 km. from the northwest coast of Africa. It belongs to the province of Las Palmas, one of two that make up the Canary Islands, an autonomous community of Spain. The capital of the island is Puerto del Rosario, where is the Cabildo Insular, the government of the island.

  
HOW TO GET THERE:

Plane: Main point of access to the island. Its facilities are trained, as Aena, to serve five million passengers a year (arrivals and departures). It is situated in El Matorral, five kilometers from Puerto del Rosario. It is connected to the municipalities through various bus lines.

TOURISM:

In Fuerteventura held vast range of events and traditional festivals. In addition, the island can be found a wide range of facilities for the enjoyment of the performing arts, plastic or delving into the history and “majorero” culture.

WEATHER:

The climate is mild and temperatures remain nearly constant throughout the year (20'4 º C average temperature). Rainfall is rare, being one of the driest islands of the Canary archipelago.
